We are excited to announce that we will be hosting the public-speaking competition – Concours d’art oratoire in person on Friday, May 19th, 2023 at Collège nordique francophone, Yellowknife, NWT. This competition is open to youth who are learning French in school. It’s a great way to celebrate their many hours of hard work and official language bilingualism in Canada! Students participate in categories according to their grade level, current French program and past experience using French.
Schools and (or) classrooms are encouraged to hold their own Concours dart oratoire. CPF will provide each school with an allowance of $100 to purchase treats (cookies, donuts etc) for the participants on the day of the competition. Templates for certificates that can be printed will also be provided. Please complete the following form no later than May 5th, 2023 if your school or classroom will hold a Concours d’art oratoire:
The top 2 students in each category in grades 11 and 12 are invited to register for the Territorial Concours d’art oratoire being held May 19, 2023 at Collège nordique Francophone in Yellowknife. Students must register by May 17th, 2023. Students can join in person or if outside of Yellowknife, can join virtually to compete. Complete details will be forwarded once registration is recieved.
